Putting your money in a savings account may seem like the safe thing to do. After all, there's no risk of losing any of your money. But are you really saving? Are your interest rates keeping up with the increasing cost of living? If you invest it correctly, you can do more than save money.

Banks take your savings and invest it. When you put money in a savings account, you're letting the banks profit from your hard earned money. Why not invest it yourself and put your funds to work for you? You earned it.

Passive income is our goal. Essentially, it is income acquired with little or no work. What's better than making money without actually doing anything?

Examples of passive income include revenue from invention royalties or rental property. But let's face it, not many of us are geniuses or have thousands of dollars sitting in a bank to buy property. Investing in stocks are the next best thing.

Once you've started investing, you'll need to put in some work, but much of your time will be spent watching your money grow.
